The entire city reeks with the smell of blood; a smell I'm quite familiar with, though I don't like it. It smells worse than the beer did. Not to mention that the members of the Inuzuka family have an especially acute sense of smell. It is tolerable, though... years of battle will desensitize you to the stench of blood, and worse.

I myself am covered in blood up to my chest, though I don't suppose it can be helped. Even though I am primarily a healer, the way of the ninja is death. Kill or be killed. I won't indulge in guilt or shame. This is who and what I am.

The last few days of travel have all been spent sleeping on the ground, or in tree branches when they were thick enough. Rations have consisted of dried meat and energy bars since I ran out of what fruits and vegetables I'd packed. I don't really like the smell of this city, but it would be nice to rest at an inn and eat fresh food before continuing on my sabbatical. Hopefully there's a place in the city that allows dogs.
